I used to shot a scene by camera with my partners last year, which made me think of the filming technique of Wong Kar-wai. In my opinion, filming by hand is kind of stressful, which will be more appropriate for documentaries. The hand filming in Wong’s film is to show people’s unrest, drift and rootless.
He combined the shake with the urban theme he tried to explain, and reflected people’s fickleness in mind. Now if I look back on ‘consequence’, there was also some kind of uneasy feelings in that short film. Therefore, I might try to practice more about different angles, distance with my smart phone to improve my filming skills.
