This week’s Media 1 reading explores the Harry Potter conference Infinitus held in Orlando. I myself am not a Harry Potter fan so I struggled to understand and connect with this reading however had a an outsider perspective to how it was important to our course. The reading reflects the strong Fandom this story has generated, evoking a sense of community. Displaying that this book series and film series have inspired and pleased this fandom. However it also causes many problems in there eyes as sometimes film cannot do the book justice or even the story cannot do the readers ideas of Hogwarts justice. Showing that the purpose of film and books is to please their audience, however they can never fully please the individual hardcore fanatic.
