This week I was struggling to form an idea to write my initative post about. However today during our Easter lunch with the extended family, I found myself arguing with my dad about Music. I told him the music he wanted to play in the background was ‘standard’ however now I think it was somewhat wrong of me to state this. Who am I to tell a person the music they like is basic and generic, when they might rebuke that they feel this way about my taste in music. Can anything be standard in media? Or do we just want to believe that the media content we immerse ourselves in is above standard?
