I’m one of those people who prefer listening to music during study. I work with music in my part-time job so it’s always blaring while I do things, and since I still live at home, channelling out unwanted noise from my younger brothers is the only way. This isn’t so bad though, if anything, I’ve devised the perfect study mixtape to get things going. While people say classical music works best to stimulate the brain, I digress, funky feel good music is the best way to go. Set the tempo for your Monday and get down on this:
Kool & The Gang – “Get Down On It”
Hey, hey, yeah, what you gonna do? / You wanna get down? / Tell me, what you gonna do? / Do you wanna get down?
Carl Carlton – “She’s A Bad Mama Jama”
Her body measurements are perfect in every dimension / She’s got a figure thats sho ’nuff gettin’ attention
Brick – “Dazz”
Jazz dazz, disco jazz / Jazz dazz, disco jazz / Jazz dazz, disco jazz / Jazz dazz, disco jazz
Womack & Womack – “Teardrops”
When I’m dancin’ ’round, remind me baby of you / I really let you down, next time I’ll be true, yeah / I took a crazy chance
Isley Brothers – “Between The Sheets”
Ooh girl, let me hold you tight / And you know I’ll make you feel alright / Oh baby girl, just cling to me and let your mind be free
Curtis Mayfield – “Move On Up”
So what we have to do is move on up and keep on wishing / Remember your dream is your only scheme so keep on pushing
Eddie Murphy – “Party All The Time”
I can’t understand it why you want to hurt me / After all the things I’ve done for you
Cameo – “Candy”
Cause you affect me, fascinate me / I thank heaven for the things that you do / It’s like candy
