The streets are the places in which we commute everyday, most of the time we get to work or our destination without much of a recollection of what we actually saw on our journey. It’s because the things that stand out on the streets, those things a little bit left field are the ones we’ve learnt to ignore because we’re afraid of them and we despise them. But what a recent class of photojournalism did was think the complete opposite way.Β Bruce Gilden is an American street photograph whose famous for his in your face photography. Bruce is best known for his candid close-up photographs of people on the streets of New York City, using a flash gun which often captures their raw and unassuming emotions and facial expressions.
However, I did not take this courageous technique, I did have the courage to pay closer attention to the weird and wonderful suburban street, as a result I captured many strong moments in time and got a better understanding for the diversity of our population.
