BOX – Week 1A Task

For this first week, we were tasked with creating a 30-second sequence with static camera and supporting documentation.

Notes:

• In the creation of the “looking through the screen” shot, some effects will need to be used. Notably ‘basic 3D’ to achieve a mirrored effect and also ‘luma key’ in order to create a satisfying transparency

• Add sloth toy to mise en scene for comic effect

 

Reflection:

This initial task helped to dust off the  academic mindset that had remained in a state of rest for a number of weeks. Its value was in creating a useful precedent and model for the work we will undertake throughout the semester. In other words, our media creation will always from here on be accompanied by all conventional supporting documentation and protocol to aid in the planning and execution process. This includes proper editing etiquette and the formation of screenplays, story boards, notes and reflections.
