What is it all for? – End of the day type stuff
Media can be many things. It can be provocative, detrimental, constructive and even totally impotent. However, as a general rule, I tend to think media should be used to do a little good.
For the last four months, I have been editing small promotional clips for the charity organisation International Children’s Care. This charity works all around the world helping disadvantaged and abandoned children, as well as creating opportunities and thus a way out for trafficked women.

My involvement in the media industry has a number of benefits. At this stage in my career, work like this is usually framed as ‘good industry experience’ or ‘good for networking’. But there are times when it moves beyond that; times when the creation of media becomes a force for something higher and more altogether good than the self-conscious, pretentious and frankly fake rat race of first year Uni students trying to make their stamp on the world.
