” Entering Other Worlds”
Kyla’s talk was very engaging and a few things especially stood out to me as she described her experiences in the field;
“i love the power and empathy of non-fiction creating connections between people”
- intimacy; the relationship between you and that person, you have to push beyond your own personal values and judgment
I particularly was captivated by this comment as i am definitely interested in the minds of other people and have always wanted to capture someone else’s story; following her advice is essential in order to learn and grow throughout my journey.

– Observe a location
– observe yourself
– become one with the technology
– let a story and subject evolve
– question motivations
– have a live relationship – disconnect your virtual mind
I also think Paul’s advice to be generous and to have good spirits/humour is essential for being successful in our work.
