My goals/what I hope to learn this semester

• To shoot things that inspire me
• To always focus on the elements of a shot, e.g composition, exposure and focus
• I want to really improve my editing skills, I have used premiere for about 2 years now but I am still not at a confident level where editing can be efficient and well pieced together. Perhaps editing class would be interesting where we get given footage, and have a class dedicated to editing it together in the way think is best working on sequence, enhancing the actual shot colour and adding music etc.
• I want to learn more and more about colour correction and after editing effects to enhance the images I shoot.
• To watch other students work and learn from them how I can improve my own work.
• I think coming up with work of some sort, maybe something creative where we are taught how to engage with new ideas and make them into a film or a piece of work.
• I want to trial more than just the EX3 for tasks, I want to see how using smaller film cameras, or Sony/Canon cameras and see which one I think is fitting for different shots.
• I really want to spend time like around 4 weeks working on my own production. Whether that is based of constriants or not, I would love the opportunity to go through all the stages within pre production of thinking of an idea, writing a script/storyboards to producing the shoot to editing and coming out with a short film of some sort that I was passionate about.
• Likewise I also would love to do more work in small groups but for smaller projects where we can combine out ideas and create some small pieces of work within class.
