“I was always amazed at how beautiful the light was. At different times of the day the landscape becomes a different place. Dawn and dusk, it’s a different place.”
This quote really resonated with me and the works that I saw at the gallery, such a beautiful collection and series, and I think the use of light in all his works really reflects how he finds it quite memorising and beautiful, as its often used to highlight specific parts of the human form. I think the overall aesthetic is haunting yet delicate and nurtured.
