Just kidding, its the same old me but the final year of this degree has loomed upon me.

My studio this semester is FILM LIGHT with ROBIN, which Im super excited about.

 

As I sit here in ABC, the classic uni hangout, I choose to write my daily blog with a beer in hand. I guess you could say I love shooting little videos, test edits, experimenting with what works well and what doesn’t. I get excited about shooting something that looks really beautiful. Cinematography is my new mojo.

SO with this new class I have a few expectations and things I AIM TO ACHIEVE.

NO 1. Blog to my little hearts content

NO 2. watch heaps of new and interesting film clips and observe the light in them

No 3. NOTICE EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING ABOUT LIGHT

No 4. Learn  about how to achieve that lighting

No 5. experiment, experiment, experiment new and different types of lighting

No 6. get feedback and learn how to improve on the lighting or film techniques

No 7. I would love to do some low light shooting, trialling around with fluorescent lighting, dramatic lighting and something that really creates a intense vibe and scene.

No 8. Try researching cinematographers and photographers, learning from their technique and style. E.g Gregory Crewdson
