IN our last few sessions we didn’t have a ridiculous amount to do we were pretty well prepared and happy with how we were going. We added in all our interviews and selected the most important and interesting parts to coincide with each interview. Penelope translated her grandmother and we added in a simple and easily readable subtitles in. At this point we had all the main components all the interviews were in, the poem was weaved throughout and we just made a few final decisions. At first we were going to have the children footage when the poem was spoken but we found the black screen add a lot more depth. likewise we added in the relevant titles for each little vignette and all in all this was all pieced together beautifully. The one more thing we felt was needed was someone audio soundtrack to give the piece more flow and to make it more emotive. Tim is taking on the responsibility of either composing some music or if not finding some free soundtrack that we can fit behind it. All in all the piece we felt was better at about 3 minutes to keep it interesting and engaging. I really enjoyed this process and i think as a whole our piece will come out really well.
