What is work attachment?
Its just semantics, its not an internship and its not work experience and its best to not think about it like these things. clarify its not an internship,
You will go out and work for a place that you want to go out and whom you want to work with, most of this is in the work attachment guidelines. RMITV, SYNNFM and CHANNEL 31 are not considered as work attachment.
- For the attachment workplace to qualify you must be supervised by a media professional,
- You are expected to speak to the careers officers (email is fine) before you begin your attachment.
- You must complete 80 hours by the end of the semester of Media 6 (that can be configured over multiple attachments (recommended) it can be paid work and it can be anywhere in the world).
- You must complete at least 1500 word written report (reflecting on what you did and more substantial level or analysis what you learn in terms of professional development, skills, knowledge, networks etc.) – write it out during the process as well
- you cannot graduate until to complete the work attachment (get take of and insight into the industry, get opportunity to apply skills acquired in a professional context) It will provide you with the beginnings of a professional network.
Registering – all on the guidelines (forms for insurance etc.)
