So over the past few weeks of being at university in this course I have most definitely found my passion, surprisingly enough I have found something that I want to pursue as a career. I have established that for me I want to be a part of Film and TV production, the hands on creation of a medium. The exact direction right now is still unclear, but I have really loved directing and floor managing. This has all struck a cord with me from when I started as a part of the Offbeat team, I have loved getting to meet new like minded people and the whole experience itself has allowed me to try out each different crew role and be fully responsible within that position. I love seeing a production come to life, the high stress of it i find really exciting to work under that pressure to ensure the show stays active and smooth. I love collaborating with people, getting to interact with the hosts and guests and always gain a different perspective. I also have loved working with other crew members because together we essentially run the show. I have learnt so much these past few weeks which has been incredible and this just gives me motivation to keep pushing forward and continually get involved in as much as I can. So where I go from here, just keep applying, RMITV constantly send out crew role availability and I will keep applying until something comes up. I have established that to get to my goal I must just keep chugging along, every experience is a stepping stone where I learn new things and gain exposure. I am hoping that over time I will make my way to larger productions and larger roles and responsibilities, right now Im very much on stone one where I am learning the ropes so to speak. However I want to continue to grow within this industry and the thought of that is really exciting. I look forward to taking part in more productions and seeing where this path takes me.
