This weeks reading by Klaus Schwag discussed the presence and us as the human race on the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution. Our technological advancements have brought us to the cutting edge of various fields in the digital space. It give us an insight as to where we as humans are going and the lines we have and are soon to cross, wither good or bad, who can say?

I found Schwag writings on the digital space and how it is now and has been tackling new infrastructure through social connectivity around the world to be fascinating and eye opening. How we can create as he suggests ” Mega-Trends” in cases of apps, websites etc.. to create some of the biggest industry players in the world. We provide a service to these people, who do nothing other then open our eyes to possibilities from services we already have, but they give us access to a commutative tool to make these all of these possibilities accessible. This related heavily I believe to what we looked at in this weeks tutorial, when we looked at the three areas which we would be coving this semester. Empowerment, Enterprise, Experience.

I think they all have ties to what Schwag has discussed, but I feel they have a big connection to both Empowerment and Enterprise when it comes to use the consumers/ customers and we as the content creators. This revolution has given birth to the empowerment of connectivity and communication and thus created multiple enterprises based around just that, providing people with a service, giving people jobs, employment and thus relates itself to Experience.

Overall I believe that we as human beings are constantly growing and creating, though in some cases our genius is undermining itself, basically wiping out a lot of what humankind is or was along the way and replacing it with a “human made world” I believe this is very apparent in Schwag’s writing. We are already doing great things with what we have created and as such are eradicating some of the bad and replacing it with what we can only hope is good. Fingers crossed. I don’t wanna live in a terminator world !!
