Medium Theory : An Alternative to the Dominant Paradigm of Media Effects

I have to admired that i have not read the whole article, it is too long and i just read the first part of the article. What i get from the first part is media is used to control people mind, in the late 15 century Western Europe printing is used first time , the mainly used of printing is control by Church or Crown, if anyone want to questions them by using printing, sorry he/she have to be punishment even will dead because it. In fact, this is like in the description, once the media as a way to control the masses, and now  the media is not the same which is development to more open, the previous media is closed, and even that difficult to trace, and that is what the media is saying what . Now, if one kind of media like public any error message to public will be found soon, so that now many media  is like watching over each other with mutual supervision, so the masses have more opportunity to recognize the fact.
