Throughout my entire university degree there’s been one very strong and constant theme – copyright, copyright, copyright. It can be quiet a daunting subject, especially for when I was first year and having to deal a lot with production of media and audio and video files. Now, obviously we have selected a stream to focus on and are able to choose a broader range of electives so we can go to wherever our heart desires, and copyright isn’t such a daunting word anymore.

Obviously we have to be very mindful of copyright, especially when blogging, as your ‘thoughts’ could be someone else’s exact thoughts too, and the inclusion of media into any of your entries MUST give credit to the original. Similarly to tagging, I didn’t know that there was such a high-pressure intensity to ensure we had credited all of the original owners so I again, went back through old blog entires to ensure this was fixed – and by God did that take a lot of time. I obviously was conscious about crediting, but didn’t think my blog was somewhere where I really needed to watch what I did.
