In 4 weeks of university, we’ve only had 2 classes for Room With a View as the other two were lost with mid-semester breaks and public holidays. This disruption in the timetable has made it hard for our group to solidify a good time to meet as well as allowing us to polish our ideas for our demo. We really want to be the first group to record a live-to-air show so we can prove to not only Bruce, the community and the listeners that we can do this, but prove to ourselves that we can do this. For many of us, this is actually our goal in life – to have a career in radio – so we don’t want to stuff it up! We’ll be going in to record our demo on Wednesday at the 3RRR studios, unfortunately Georgia won’t be able to attend as she’s in Bali but she has contributed everything she could in order to make sure she’s been a part of the group. Our interview topics will be on Signal and Celeste which are both very interesting topics and from there we will be able to gauge whether or not this is appropriate for the first recording! I’m really happy with how everything has gone, both with the group and with the preparation, and can’t wait to record this demo!
