blog #63: homecoming

So after my amazing 3 week holiday to North and Central America, I’m back in gloomy old Melbourne – where the sun never shines and rain is aplenty. My first day of semester 2 at RMIT consisted of a session for my studio class Character as well as a lecture for The Spectacle of Music Video which were both a lot of fun! Character with Catherine was a really great class which I know will really push me past my comfort zone and enable me to extend my writing skills. We were put in groups and given a task to go beyond one scene from an advertisement and basically write a story about it. I was put in a group with Katie, Madi and Sam who were all really into the task and provided some great conversations.

We decided on a great group concept and I was in charge of doing a character profile for one of our characters – Lisa, the girlfriend of the hospitalised male. I won’t be able to attend Thursday’s class as I will be bed-ridden due to wisdom teeth extraction surgery so I will have to submit my portion of the group work to one of my group mates in order for them to read it out for me.
