blog #53: reading over then re-reading the reading

Eduardo Navas’ article discussing remixes and mashups is a perplexing and highly informative article. The idea of sampling is something that Navas explores throughout. What I love most about the reading is that Navas specifically defines remix and mashups implicitly which provides great perspectives. The article also looks at mashup and remixes over time, from its beginning to the current forms we find it in.

I found the whole article to be a little bit tiresome and quite extensive. Put rudely, it was far too long a little boring. What I did appreciate was the amount of information engrossed within as well as the definitions which really helped me to fully understand each word.
