Without a doubt today’s tutorial inspired me to try harder in the area of film editing. There was such a high standard set today by everyone, so to try and match that was hard. I felt as though, while everyone’s films were of an impeccable standard, Jac’s Brief 3 on his friend and fashion designer Helena really stood out. I felt as though it was so past the university level and really struck me as though he was an established film editor doing an advertising campaign for Helena’s new clothing collection – I felt as though I was at Chadstone watching a runway show!

Everything about his remarkable editing techniques, sophisticated filming style and well-matched musical selections made perfect sense and surpassed any and all of my expectations of anyone in this media course. Here is Jac’s film titled “Interview with Helena”… without a doubt one of the best pieces I’ve seen this year to date!
