blog #25: confucius say

Today’s lecture really threw me for a loop, I understood quite little of everything that was discussed… and having a look over Brief 4, I can only add to that confusion. The use of stringent media terms made today’s lecture turn into one big blur. I tried my hardest to understand the key concepts discussed, especially during the activity part of the talk as I hoped it would make sense if I put the ideas to the test, but unfortunately no such luck. I’m hoping that on Thursday’s tutorial with Rachel I’ll be able to ask some of the burning questions that I have, and that I’ll receive the answers that I’m hoping for!

Today was, overall, a particularly productive day. I’ve finally completed my entire Brief 3 – including the video, reflection and getting the release form signed. Not without it’s troubles, having finished my reflection, I turned my back on my computer for 5 seconds and everything was… GONE. Technology and I aren’t the best of friends. So at 10.30 I can happily say that everything has been re-written and saved… properly. Not only did I get my entire Brief done, I also managed to sneak in a couple of blog posts, attend 2 lectures, grab lunch with my friends and get stuck into my homework for some of my other subjects. I have two thing due on Monday: an essay for Music in Popular Culture on gender in popular music, and I also have a vlog on anonymity in social media for Popular Culture in Everyday Life. Better get cracking!
