For my text for Brief 1, I’ve chosen to just use one word. My word is:

 FATE

In 2014 I was involved in a serious car accident as I drove to visit my parents at their place of work in the Barossa Valley region about an hour drive from the city of Adelaide. I started my journey at around 6.30am, as I was driving I fell asleep and ended up in the barrier of the freeway. Whilst I was asleep I had knocked out 3 road signs and had come close to hitting a car. This was such a defining moment in my life as I honestly felt I was on the verge of dying. Only 3 days before my accident, my grandfather had passed away. To me, this was him looking after me and ensuring that everything would be alright.
