The readings for this week discussed copyright laws in Australia and their relation to our blog content. With that in mind, I will not be attaching any pictures, documents, sound clips or the like to this post, mostly out of fear that I will tragically and ironically slip up.
The readings themselves (some of them video clips, which was nice) were clear enough, however the topic itself is touchy and I began doubting my ability to constantly assure that I am not breaching some law by wrongly attributing content I decide to post, or by being too critical of something that it becomes degradation.
The law’s the law though, so I suppose it’s up to us – as media ‘professionals’ – not to make amateur mistakes. After all, who is out there policing it all anyway? I’m sure that between us, we can avoid illegalities.
