Nothing makes a mediocre winter’s day a whole freakin lot better than the release of a new music video from one of your favourite artists! Thankfully one of my favourite brits, George Ezra, has my back (don’t worry Ed, Alex and Matt – I’ll never forget you) and just put out his MV for Blame It on Me – a great track off his debut album, Wanted on Voyage.
The album is definitely my favourite release of the year so far. With soul, country, folk, indie and blues influences, it’s one of few I can listen to from start to finish without skipping a song. Ezra originally uploaded his hit track Budapest online for free, which brought him international success and chart recognition. Budapest and the rest of the album were inspired by and penned on Ezra’s Euro-trip – so I like to imagine I’m gallivanting with my friends on their gap years while jamming to the tracks on my way to uni… woe is me.
Check out the video and let me know what you think! The concept isn’t entirely original – think Robbie Williams’ Candy and that other music video I can’t remember as of this very moment – but it fits the song well and is aesthetically pleasing. No complaints here!
Ezra is very active on social media, so if you like his sound – tweet him! He may respond to you like he did me!
