As a way of doing some research for my essay, I decided to scroll through my Twitter feed (which mostly consists of various bands, artists, venues, music industry professionals and music news websites) to see how different people or groups were making use of the platform.
A lot of tweets were used as a way to get traffic to a website, including links to outbound sources. This tweet links people to vote in a competition.
