My first thoughts when reading the two readings for this week were could Adrian possibly pick more boring readings for us to read. I gave up on the Seaman reading after a few pages as it was not interesting to me at all and incredibly dry. The Manovich reading is slightly better. I found the idea of video games taking on a algorithmic logic rather than a database logic interesting. I also liked how they compared cultural expression through narratives in film, books and games to new media cultural expression through databases.
