Learning to blog.

It’s taken me some time to get off the ground with this blog. There are a few reasons for that and I think they are important to the direction of this blog.

Firstly, I’ve never had a blog before. I have never blogged before. I don’t blog. I think this is because I have never found myself overly interesting. There is no point in my day to day life that I think: people are going to want to know what i’m doing right now, unlike exhibit A. I don’t think I’ve made a Facebook status since Collingwood won the grand final for example. Also I don’t particularly like the style in which I write. And I can’t spell. All solid foundations for starting a blog one would have thought.

Secondly, a blog is a presence online, as we have established. It develops a digital persona of oneself and to be honest that was (and continues to be) a daunting thought. I’m not actually sure why that is exactly, but I think it’s to do with paragraph uno. So – in order to not get stage-fright (web-fright?) I’m going to enlist the age old tactic of picturing the internet naked. I’m going to rip of the band-aid each time I sit down to the computer to do this, and just write and post. I am typing this out in order to encourage myself.

I promise to re-read for spelling mistakes before I post.
