Hi Again everyone!
I learnt a little bit this week about the interfaces and layouts of both avid and premier pro. I am looking for an alternative for my current editing software of Final Cut 7 which is fast moving out of date as new codecs are introduced and invented, such as H.264. After a brief look into the layout and format of both editing softwares, apart from being shocked by the differences, i was also encouraged by the similarities. The most enjoyable addition with the seamless audio-linking effect that has been created in Premier Pro which saves hours of pointless match clips to slate markings.
I have only scratched the surface of these two editing programs but hope to investigate them more deeply in weeks to come and provide you all with a more in-depth analysis.
