From this course I hope to get a more in depth understanding of coverage and shot construction. I already I feel have a solid grasp on this technique of filmmaking. However, I feel that like any tool, it can be sharpened (unless it is a hammer).
My goals or desires within this course are to do well and pass, and to go on and make films of my own. My own personal goal being to make my first feature by the age of 25. My way of working is very methodical as my background and the way I have been raised and educated have been. Planning is a massive part of any project I undertake, I believe that you should plan all you can, and then plan some more to eliminate risk of things going wrong on the day.
In this course I would love to road-test some of the ideas I have been working on for possible use in a feature. If the material is good enough I hope to have something I can use as pitch material for funding. I would love to tell you about my idea of what I would like to film in this course… but that will have to wait until a later blog!
