A teenage girl Maria lives in a small village called Laisorlai. Farm and rice field, surrounds the village, during the rainy season most of people in the village spend their time working in the rice field. During the nighttime, most of people stay in their house.

Maria is an intelligent girl and she just received scholarship from National University, because she did very well in her school. Most of the kids in the village always look up to Maria as their role model. Other than being an intelligent girl, she is also a curious girl, she always keep searching for the answer that she hasn’t found yet.

Two weeks before Maria going to the National University which that located in the capital city, 5 hours driving from Maria’s village. Maria was experiencing a strange moment.

One night Maria was walking alone in the village and the village was quite empty, she heard a sound of some one is calling her name, and she is walking toward that sound. While she is walking she smell something is burning, and she feels warm in the cold night, but she can’t find and see anything.

Two weeks later Maria is preparing to travel to the capital city to start her first semester in the National University, when Maria is jumping in to the bus, an old lady stops her and pull her down from the bus. Maria took that old lady’s hands off her.

Two months after Maria started the first semester, the strange feeling that Maria experience in her village is coming back to her in her room. At that night everyone left the student accommodation for holiday, the entire on campus accommodation is empty and quite. Maria started to hear someone is calling her and smell of burning coming into her nose. Exactly at 3AM Maria woke up and walking towards that sound. Half an hour later Maria start to cry and try to make a phone call, but no is answering her, and exact at 5AM the security guard found Maria was lying on the floor.

Maria experiencing that kind of moment over and over again, till her parents seek for various kinds of help, some people think that Maria has mental problem, but there are no prove for that. So her parents leave it to their parish priest to take care of her and in the end the priest can not even safe her.
