This studio matters, just like everything else matters.

That was one thing I learned.

I remember when I was a kid,

I would draw squares and circles and,

draw little things in those squares and circles.

I wrote numbers.

What I always did,

was to leave an open space between the lines.

The squares and circles were never enclosed, but open.

I thought I should leave a door for the little things and numbers to escape at night,

when I wasn’t looking.

I treated the scribbles as if they were alive.

Maybe everything is alive,

in a sense.

Then I realized that I am telling stories again.

An idea that motivates doing,

An approach taken to adapt,

A habit that promises exemplarity,

A concern for what future leads,

A determination to be the change,

A moral dilemma,

A new system.

An epiphany.

Our studio.
