“Murmuration” was brought up in class. This amazing footage is created by National Geographic which shows the phenomenon of Starlings flights. The patterns shown reminds me of a term in architectural design, Parametric Design with non-linear lines, and irregular shapes. I bet such lines involves calculus-level calculations. According to Wikipedia, the design concept is “based on algorithmic thinking”.
