Here’s my first noticing:
And a gallery of Noticings from our studio: Many great works!;)
Perhaps my latter two parts of the video needs a bit of explanation. I was hoping that the images could speak for themselves, but apparently the footages that I put there weren’t working as efficiently as I expected, which was reflected on the critique sheets and by Adrain’s comment:
^^a summary of the critiques made by my peers^^//
Praise for the split screen and Not good for its confusion created//
It is clear that my video has three parts to it. The first is about the general description of the bracelet; the second is about what does the bracelet do and the third ponders on the realness and existence of the bracelet(since we’ve been looking at ontology and philosophical discourses). Now, let’s look at the different part separately:
- PART TWO CONTENT:
1-A reminder for the past (high school)
2-A necessity for underwater ecosystem
3-A merchandise which ensures people’s jobs
2. PART TWO IMAGE CONNECTION:
Shots of a 4:3 aspect ratio and old footages — part2 CONTENT 1: Emphasizing “the past” idea
Beach and Doodles and a carefree vibe — 1 Indicating high school?
Beach, Sea, Horses, People, Sunset — 2 Healthy, beautiful sea
Sunset — This shot was show when the audio track says “amazing” 😉
Shots of industrial cranes, Sailors and Crowds — 3 People have jobs.
3. PART THREE CONTENT:
1-Inside: organic and inorganic
2-Outside: the relations
3-Conclusion
4. PART THREE IMAGE CONNECTION:
The use of an abstract animation — the discussion is quite abstract and ambiguous
The inside of the sphere: black and white — 1 organic and inorganic parts
The changing of the circle — 2 the changing relations
The last shot: a question mark — 3 echoing the beginning, leaving an open conclusion
I hope the list has clarified my intentions a bit.
Also, for “the milk” part when I break the convention for the split screens, I was trying to take a risk and see what others might think. Now I know the result: it won’t work. 🙂
Now, how can I get images to talk? Or, how can I understand what the images are expressing? It is worth exploring.
