I’ve just finished watching Tom Ford’s second film. He’s not the only one who’s done some crossover works in film. This film, the same as first one, A Single Man, is filled with sadness, sentiments and reminiscences. It’s melancholy. It’s another beautifully arranged, designed film, interweaving the real life and the novel story in the film, Nocturnal Animals.

The film depresses me right from the start to the end. As the ochestra gradually fades in, I got caught by the soundtrack. It’s totally breathless. (Many times, I watch a film because of its soundtrack. ) And by the end of this film, I feel like the emotions were never able to be released, let out. It just stuck there, making you feel even less satisfied and more depressed. The trauma was never healed when watching the ending and stopped quite unexpectedly for me.

Those are just my first feelings. Love the film. More comments to add in this post in the future.
