The first topic came across this week is non-narrative. Seth introduced it with interesting presentation made up of note pad sheets. Experimental films and documentaries are part of non-narratives. In Bordwell and Thompson’s book, experimental films have two forms: abstract and associational; while for documentaries, there are rhetorical and categorical forms(although one form of documentaries can be narrative, ex: Grizzly Bear).
