Conversations with Simone

Doing an exercise with a classmate – even if not at the same time was a fantastic experience. You learn so much, each going in with different intentions. Simone and I filmed the initial Walks together, but me looking at movement of people, and inherent behaviour. She was looking at camera movement, and we were both exploring the camera as a window/camera as frame notions.

Brainstorming ways to create and experiment together is useful for understanding our own motivations, and having some grounding in what others are doing. I think that working with Simone is useful to springboard ideas and analyse each others thinking. I think that working  alone can sometimes be conducive to an unfortunate cycle of getting stuck in one’s own head. I hope this doesn’t happen (perhaps it has happened already). I have many ideas and I’m not sure how to articulate them.
