Composure

Walks, movements, gestures, they all often look composed. It grabs our attention when they look effortless.

True elegance and sophistication in movement come with an element of gracefulness. It comes with an element of mindfulness regarding one’s actions, one’s body and how it can move within a space and around individuals.

It may be of significance to note that sophisticated shots, sophisticated camera movements and decoupage require that same knowledge and grace about movements, they require mindfulness in actions and prior thought in the way things might unfold in a given situation, and how that might be covered. It grabs our attention when they unfold in a way that does not rupture our connection with what is going on within the frame, rather it strengthens our ties to the frame and the space within the frame.

Camera and person. Machine and life. Physical objects that require composure and grace in movement.
Same-same but different.
