a list of some directors with distinct coverage styles I find engaging/appealing:
Lars von Trier
Wes Anderson
Tarantino
Paul Thomas Anderson
Jean Pierre Jeunet
…maybe this list should be renamed big-name auteurs of the last twenty years…
Maybe I’m thinking too much in the now… There’s Tati, Truffaut, Demy…but I want to stay away from the Cahiers group (and the left bank group too) because I feel like their works are so varied and they are the “rule-breakers”
how do these directors create their window/frame constantly?
There are underlying things/motifs present in all their work but what changes and how does it change depending on the crew and actors they are working with?
