Week 6 Tutorial Reflection
Today in our tutorial, Jenny, Oliver and I went off in a group to practice with the Zoom audio recorder. We had to borrow it from building nine and record audio in various environments such as a bathroom, a hallway and outside. We needed to record ambient noise of the surrounding environment, some dialogue up close to the microphone and away from the microphone. This experiment allowed us to understand how to use the Zoom as well as how an environment effects audio recording.
As we are beginning Project Brief 3, a portrait on someone in our life, I will be including interviews with my subject and his friends and so this allowed me to understand which environments to record the interviews.
