We refined our filmmaking skills, by first deciding how we would cover the script, which involved a tennis player, her dad/ coach and a pregnancy bomb! We had to improvise at the start and out pregnancy test ended up being a stick of lip balm. We decided to shoot a wide shot to cover the scene first, then shoot an over the shoulder shot looking down, then one from the reverse angle looking up.
When it came to the next group, we ended up using styalized camera movements to mimic soap operas similar to Days Of Our Lives. We also experimented with crossing the line of sight and having actors turn into frame.
It was a fun exercise and it will be very interesting to see the results next week.
