Just some thoughts

Greetings, to anyone out there reading my blog (very few people I imagine)

Lately, I’ve been exploring other people’s sites and reading their thousand word essay-like blog posts, so in a way kinda felt obligated to post this. As part of my participation contract, my goal was to post at least one additional blog post per week, which I’ve been doing in these last few weeks.

The additional posts (appropriately entitled quote of the week) consist of me posting quotes from people that inspire me. From filmmakers to storytellers to simply anyone I admire who has influenced me to think, act or work the certain way I have. I guess the point of this post is to vent my thoughts and say that some times through posting other peoples thoughts and quotes, It’s more effective rather than to post my own, as some quotes summarize exactly how I feel in a sentence.

I don’t know, sometimes I find it hard to write down my exact thoughts and feelings just out in the open like that, which is why I enjoy writing and making films to express my emotions and feelings through other interesting characters within some kind of linear narrative structure, which others can watch and interoperate it however they like. As long as people are able to make an understanding for themselves and feel a certain way, whether they express anger, happiness or disgust from the images I make, then I’ll feel like I have done my job.

This is getting way off topic… to conclude this I just want to say sometimes less is more (and more is less) and through these succinct quotes, a large statement can be made whether people understand it or not.
