That was the idea of the movie, I just wanted to set things up and I wanted to just document it and make sense of it later”- Harmony Korine on the making of Gummo (1997). I find this quote extremely relevant as it best encapsulates the essence of the filmmaking process I aim to follow for the creation of my film.
