Head stuck

Last week I watched one documentary called “Nowhere Line: Voices from Manus Island”

I don’t think that this documentary counts as an open documentary, but regardless it’s unique and different. The narrative is told by using animation, and the story was told by 2 men who are still in the detention center as I write this. Obviously the talk was not made face-to-face, so the author had to figure out another way to give a visual to the story.

Using animation is a good move. Even though the pictures might not describe the perfect detail of the actual detention center, The Author (Lucas Schrank) can freely create and manipulate the atmosphere of the documentary using the animation and the sound effects.

As to my update on the project, I’m still confused on my approach to the video style, should it be more photo-focused? or should I use more found footages? How will the narrative style be?
