PHOTO ONE

This photo describes me through my religion. You could say that i am proud to be Jewish, as my family is traditional, it is a big part of my identity, and shaped me to who i am today. This photo shows the ritual of the lighting of the candles, done every friday night (referred to as shabbat) which is one of the most special days of the week for me. ‘The day of rest’ allows me to spend time with my family, and enjoy a nice meal.FullSizeRender-1

PHOTO TWO

My friends are a big part of my life. This photo was taken on a fun boat trip out, where we spent heaps of time laughing, and enjoying each others company with the benefit of Melbourne’s beautiful view. The idea of friendship encourages me to be social, and outgoing which i love, making me a happier person everyday

PHOTO THREE

I strongly believe in equality among economic, cultural and social groups. The concept of human rights is always an idea in my head, and contributes to my identity as i strive for fairness and equality in this world.

PHOTO FOUR

This photo shows my love for nature and beautiful scenery. This was taken at St Kilda beach a few nights ago, one of the most beautiful sunsets i have seen!! As i can be a very calm and observant person, seeing something like a sunset tends to make my day.IMG_0514

PHOTO FIVE

My family’s history is extremely important, as if it wasn’t for my parents and their older generations, i would not be here today. From their lives in Melbourne, New Zealand and Poland all shares a warm spot in my heart, and am thankful for all the memories that are shared, as well as the connections that were made.IMG_1011

PHOTO SIX

I can be quite a joyous person, as i am always known to always be smiling, light up a room and make people laugh. It is a big part of who i am, as i always try to stay positive even when times are on a high, and when they can be tough.

VIDEO ONE

This video is taken at one of the meetings this week. As i love to volunteer, this shows the behind footage of a group of us joking around instead of organising events. Giving back to the community is really big part of who i am, and is a really important aspect in my life.

VIDEO TWO

I can now saw that education at RMIT is reflective on my identity, as it what i am going to be doing, it is going to shape my future. Walking through crowds of people everyday reminds my of what my aims and goals are for the upcoming years.

SOUND ONE

While i was trying to take a sound recording of nature, the not so peaceful sounds of Melbourne definitely came through. The trams, music and people are really overpowering all sounds on the streets. This is why i love Melbourne, and growing up here has made me realise how privileged i am to live in such a cool city.

SOUND TWO

This is the process of my dad making dinner (chicken stir fry). Dinner time is the time of night where my family and I can catch up, and talk about our days and problems. Family is a massive influence on my life, and contribute substantially to my identity.

SOUND THREE

This sound reflects my social communication in everyday life. The sound of me typing, the connection and communication with friends and family. A simple sound, but a highly important bond.

TEXT

This is my favourite quotes, from one of my all time best movies The Blind Side. It reminds me to be couragous, and not follow the norm in everyday life. Be yourself

” Courage is tricky if you always do what others tell you to do. Any fool can have courage but honour, that is the real reason you do something or you don’t. It’s who you are and maybe who you want to be. You should hope for courage and have honour.”
