I’m extremely fascinated by how people curate their spaces/nooks as I link personal spaces strongly to memory. Because of this, listening to the different ideas that everyone had regarding their homes was really enjoyable as it conjured up mental images of spaces that I found interesting for a range of different reasons. I paid attention to ideas concerning how the ambience or qualities of a room can change based on the light, people, sounds, or furniture that occupy the space. These ideas that the class discussion generated for me have become quite pertinent to my home project, as sensory experiences linking to memory and the past is the main theme I am exploring.
