Seemingly out of nowhere, the sky erupts in its hypnotising burst of pastels. It covers the horizon and seeps down to the ground, casting a dull purple haze over everything in sight. Wisps of grey which looked drab and uninspiring just minutes ago take on a whole new identity, nestled in with their new surroundings, like cracks in some cosmic wonder. It didn’t even look real; it was like being thrust into a dream, or another dimension, or the scene of a fantasy movie. The crowd look down at their phones, and keep on walking.
