I’ll admit, I was incredibly confused by this project brief; it was far more vague than previous ones, and we weren’t really sure what to do with it. Our communication in the beginning wasn’t that great, and we had plenty of trouble actually settling on a concept; we ended up having three separate issues to cover, in what would have to amount to a 5 to 10 minute video. In the end we picked Desensitization, as it was sort of the common ground out of all our research. 10 minutes is a really short amount of time to produce a documentary on such a large issue, so we went with more of a discussion based piece.

It was my first time writing a script, and if I can avoid it in the future I will; the sheer lack of feedback terrified me in how little I knew of what I was doing.

Helen did the editing, and she did really well putting together the rough cut. I did color correct for the final, and Jamie did the a good deal of the shoot.
