And Once More

And now, let the re-filming begin.

After having spent the past two weeks filming and then immediately reviewing the footage and making very rough cuts of scenes to see how they would potentially look like, we carefully examined each shot to ensure there is visual continuity throughout each scene, and to also find out what still needs to be filmed. Through this process we noticed and realised that some shots needed to be re-filmed for continuity purposes or to improve its look. Also after receiving some feedback on the very, very rough cut of the entire film, we needed to shoot some longer shots to really display the observatory feel in the story.

We also took in consideration the feedback we received last week where we lacked visual content of the actor observing and reflecting internally and so this was one of the first things we discussed and planned out in the beginning of the week. Our main focus for the week was to reshoot the shots we had decided on and any other additional shots we needed in order to get a better sense of the visual outlook of the whole film.

We continued on with editing after we did our reshoots and discussed the kind of sounds and music to accompany the visuals as the sounds really does play an integral part in the film considering their is no dialogue. We took note in particular of the flashback sequence and how the music that would be chosen for it be harmoniously integrated with the ambient sounds we have also planned to record in the following week.
