Room With A View: Thoughts on Demo
The experience of being in the RRR studios with so much freedom has been great. I look forward to booking some time in for myself to practice paneling, as well as spinning some records on my own time. For the demo assignment, my group took out some extra time at RRR to get ourselves acquainted with the equipment before we went in to record, I think this was for the best as the bit of instruction we got was a lot of information in a small amount of time and we definitely needed to re-instruct ourselves a bit.
When it came time to actually record our demo show I think it went okay. I was pretty surprised with how well we planned out time and as a presenter, I felt decently confident. I would agree with the critiques we got from Sam as we certainly slacked on housekeeping throughout the show and it took a bit of time for Nick and me to develop a rapport. All in All I thought it was a decent starting ground and gave us a good idea as to what to expect for the live show(s).
